Background.
As a specialist architect with extensive experience and expertise in residential design & construction I provide a very high level of service at all stages of the design and construction process.
I have chosen to work as a single practitioner so my clients get my personal attention and expertise applied to every aspect and stage of their project. No part of the work is handed off to less experienced staff.
My professional expertise is also wider than most residential architects having extensive experience in construction and in residential property development. As a result I believe that I provide a level of expertise not normally available in this market sector.
As a result of my experience in construction I know how buildings are actually built – how the tradesmen will actually do the work on site. This allows me to be able to clearly and accurately document my designs in a way that is both cost effective and readily buildable.
From my involvement in residential development work I am more aware of budget issues and their impact on design decisions. I personally like to get value for money and I try to do the same for my clients.
I believe that the value I add to the completed dwelling far exceeds the cost of my services. I am also confident that I provide value for money when you take into account the level of service that I provide both in terms of the quality of the design work and the completeness of the documents that I prepare.

Portfolio.
As I a design for my clients’ likes and dislikes, the style of the houses varies greatly from client to client.
Prior to moving to Sydney in 2002, I completed a large number of houses in Adelaide. These houses can be broadly categorised as being “modern classic” in style. The houses have a contemporary format and layout but are heavily influenced by traditional styles and details with touches of French provincial, Georgian, etc.
In Sydney the majority of my work has been much more contemporary and modern in style with lots of glass to maximise views, clean lines and refined detailing.
With extensive experience in both areas I am able to be flexible in addressing my clients’ expectations.
